St. Louis-Area Dog-Friendly Patios to Celebrate Spring

st louis dog friendly restaurant patiosWith spring right around the corner, pet owners in St. Louis are gearing up to spend more time outdoors with their four-legged friends. And since St. Louis is such a pet-friendly city, days and nights spent dining out on pet-friendly patios are finally on the horizon. Here are a few of the city’s best patios that welcome dogs.

Hammerstones on 9th Street will not only allow pooches on the patio, but the friendly wait staff here will make sure Fido is happy with a bowl of his own. Since 1997, Hammerstones has been a mainstay for locals by serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and featuring live music seven nights a week.

Voted as one of the top Cuban restaurants in St. Louis, Luvy Duvy’s Cafe in historic Benton Park has a spacious outdoor patio surrounded by greenery. At Luvy Duvy’s, the staff will bring pooches their own plate so diners won’t have to worry about keeping their four-legged friends busy while out on the town.

The Boathouse at Forest Park is a hot spot during the warmer months, with great views of the water. Since Forest Park is such a great destination for joggers and their pooches, this is the perfect night cap or afternoon lunch spot. Another similar spot in Creve Coeur is the Lakehouse, located on Creve Coeur Lake.

A few others great for dogs include Half & Half, Brasserie by Niche, Water Street Cafe, Cyrano’s and Molly’s. Three Kings Pub on Delmar Boulevard features two outdoor patios, one sidewalk cafe and another spot in the back, both of which welcome pooches.
