About the CFO, Nancy Lampert
After obtaining her MBA, Nancy and her family, decided to specialize, opening one of the first strictly exotic pet stores called Planet Reptiles, in St. Louis on the Delmar Loop. Planet Reptiles was a place where animals could roam free and live in the proper habitat, close to their natural environment. They specialized in exotic reptiles and small exotic mammals, increasing and applying their knowledge of animal care to educating the public. There they continued their admiration for animals. It was a family owned business, where even Nancy’s children worked.
Nancy and her family, later realized their continued love for dogs. Always having several in the house. Together they decided to revolutionist the world of dog training by opening a Sit Means Sit franchise in the St. Louis, St. Charles and surrounding areas. Rescuing and training several dogs, which would have others wise been put down, are now “the family pets”.
As the training business grew, Nancy felt the need for dogs and dog owners and opened the first Indoor Dog Park in the area, Baxter’s K9 Complex. Providing services for daycare, boarding and training, as well as providing and enrichment area for the dogs. Nancy has recently added grooming services as well, making Baxter’s K9 Complex, your one stop/full service facility.
Baxter’s is now offering in-house training, as well as, the use of various professional trainers, in the St. Louis area. Baxter’s has an A plus BBB rating.
Baxter’s K9 Complex was named after their World Champion dog “Baxter”.
